Do your homework every day with interest. Keep in mind that you are doing it for yourself. Read the assigned selection or chapter with understanding and take down your notes on what you consider important. Make sure you have enough time for your homework so that you do not go to sleep too late. Let your dictionary, thesaurus or encyclopedia help you with technical or foreign sounding terms or phrases. Never come to class unprepared. Answer the questions in your assignment or homework exactly as they are asked. Add further information which you manage to gather as you study, if you wish. Carry the summary of the lesson in your mind so you can recite it without looking at your notes and in your own words. Your teacher will be pleased with effort. And it will be to your advantage to read your textbook before classes begin in order to establish familiarity with the topic. And you can research new words and read surely impress your teacher and give you good grades which in turn motivate you to do even better.
